SLIP PREPARATION PLANT

Slip Preparation Plant integrates milling, blunging, slip treatment, storage and transfer into a coordinated process for sanitary ware production. Recipe-controlled water dosing, heavy-duty preparation equipment and controlled agitation support homogeneous slip and stable rheological conditions, while integrated screening, magnetic separation and plant-wide transfer engineering prepare the material reliably for downstream casting.

OUR APPROACH

At a Glance

An integrated sanitary ware slip preparation plant engineered for controlled milling, homogenisation, purification, storage and transfer from recipe to casting.

WHY?

Stable Slip for Predictable Casting

Two Silos, Two Plaster Options

Controlled preparation and continuous agitation help maintain homogeneous slip and stable rheological behaviour, supporting more consistent conditions for downstream sanitary ware casting.

With two separate silos, two different plaster types can be used efficiently, providing greater flexibility for various production requirements.

WHY?

Repeatable Preparation, Batch After Batch

Two Silos, Two Plaster Options

Recipe-based water dosing and coordinated process control reduce variation introduced during preparation, helping manufacturers reproduce the required slip conditions more reliably.

With two separate silos, two different plaster types can be used efficiently, providing greater flexibility for various production requirements.

WHY?

Cleaner Slip Before Casting

Two Silos, Two Plaster Options

Dedicated screening and magnetic separation stages provide controlled particle screening and iron removal before the prepared slip moves further into production.

With two separate silos, two different plaster types can be used efficiently, providing greater flexibility for various production requirements.

WHY?

Keep Slip Ready for Production

Two Silos, Two Plaster Options

Large-volume storage combined with slow agitation keeps the prepared slip moving during intermediate storage, helping minimise particle settlement and preserve its rheological structure.

With two separate silos, two different plaster types can be used efficiently, providing greater flexibility for various production requirements.

WHY?

Less Manual Material Handling

Two Silos, Two Plaster Options

An integrated pumping, piping, valve and instrumentation architecture reduces the need to move slip manually between preparation, treatment and storage stages.

With two separate silos, two different plaster types can be used efficiently, providing greater flexibility for various production requirements.

Heavy-Duty Drum Mill

The drum mill combines a electric drive, frequency inverter and PLC operator panel with reinforced V-belt surfaces, heavy-duty bearings, parallel-shaft gearbox architecture and a pneumatically controlled positioning brake.

High Speed Turbo Blunger

High-speed mixing generates intensive material circulation to accelerate the dissolution and dispersion of ceramic raw materials. The resulting homogeneous slurry supports faster batch preparation and controlled downstream processing in sanitary ware slip and glaze preparation plants.

Propeller Blunger Configuration

The preparation line incorporates a main propeller blunger for ball clay together with a dedicated blunger for green losses, using stainless-steel shafts and propellers, rigid couplings and V-belt drive systems.

Two-Deck Sieving & Magnetic Separation

Slip treatment combines a Ø1,200 mm two-deck vibrating sieve manufactured in AISI 304 stainless steel and an electromagnetic separator.

Large-Volume Slow Stirrer Systems

Slow stirrers are specified for 20 m³ - 120 m³ tanks. Stainless-steel mixing elements and strengthened gearbox shafts and bearings support continuous movement.

PLC-Supervised Slip Transfer Network

The plant integrates a Siemens PLC-based control panel, tank level sensors, flow-meter instrumentation, butterfly and ball valves, PVC transfer pipelines and self-priming pneumatic diaphragm pumps, creating a coordinated network between mills, blungers and storage tanks.
