USM 500 GRINDING MACHINE

The USM 500 Grinding Machine is an automatic sanitary ware grinding solution for finishing rear mounting surfaces of fired WCs, bidets and wall-mounted washbasins. Its dual-station architecture combines pneumatic product positioning, programmable grinding parameters and adaptable fixturing to keep preparation and machining moving in parallel while accommodating different product configurations.

OUR APPROACH

At a Glance

A dual-station sanitary ware grinding machine engineered for productive, adaptable finishing of WC, bidet and washbasin mounting surfaces.

Why?

More Grinding, Less Waiting

Two Silos, Two Plaster Options

Prepare the next product while the current one is being processed, keeping valuable production time focused on grinding rather than loading delays.

With two separate silos, two different plaster types can be used efficiently, providing greater flexibility for various production requirements.

Why?

Built for a Changing Product Portfolio

Two Silos, Two Plaster Options

From wall-hung WCs to bidets and wall-mounted washbasins, one grinding platform supports a wider range of sanitary ware finishing requirements.

With two separate silos, two different plaster types can be used efficiently, providing greater flexibility for various production requirements.

Why?

Make Every Loading Cycle Count

Two Silos, Two Plaster Options

The ability to process multiple compatible products in one setup helps manufacturers get more value from each machine cycle.

With two separate silos, two different plaster types can be used efficiently, providing greater flexibility for various production requirements.

Why Choose This Solution?

Cleaner Transitions Between Models

Two Silos, Two Plaster Options

Adjustable operating parameters and product-specific fixtures make it easier to move between different sanitary ware geometries without turning every model change into a complex intervention.

With two separate silos, two different plaster types can be used efficiently, providing greater flexibility for various production requirements.

Why?

A Finishing Process You Can Build Around

Two Silos, Two Plaster Options

A structured, repeatable grinding workflow supports predictable downstream preparation and gives manufacturers a more dependable basis for daily production planning.

With two separate silos, two different plaster types can be used efficiently, providing greater flexibility for various production requirements.

Dual-Station Sequential Grinding System

The machine incorporates two independent working stations. While one station is under automatic grinding, the operator can load, position and prepare the next product on the second station.

Pneumatic 90° Referencing Mechanism

Products are secured at the grinding stations through pneumatic clamping elements, enabling quick fixation while maintaining a defined position during the grinding cycle.

Pneumatic Product Clamping

Products are secured at the grinding stations through pneumatic clamping elements, enabling quick fixation while maintaining a defined position during the grinding cycle.

Operator-Defined Grinding Parameters

Grinding values, including the required material-removal pass, can be entered through the central operator panel before the cycle begins, allowing the process to be adjusted to the product requirement.

500 mm Grinding Wheel with 18.5 kW Drive

The grinding assembly uses a 500 mm diameter wheel, powered by an 18.5 kW grinding motor and operating at 1,000 rpm, providing the mechanical basis for fired sanitary ware surface grinding.

1,300 mm Table with Extended Grinding Travel

The machine combines a 1,300 mm table width with a grinding-unit movement range of approximately 200 to 1,200 mm. Where product dimensions and fixture design permit, multiple pieces can be mounted and ground within a single loading arrangement.
