PANTOGRAPH GRINDING MACHINE

The UNIMAK Pantograph Grinding Machine is a semi-automatic finishing solution for fired sanitary ware, including water closets, washbasins and fireclay sinks. Its operator-guided pantograph arm, vertically adjustable product table and through-spindle wet grinding system combine versatile product handling with controlled finishing and a robust architecture designed for everyday production.

OUR APPROACH

At a Glance

A flexible semi-automatic pantograph grinding machine for fired sanitary ware, combining adaptable product positioning, wet grinding and direct operator control.

Why?

More Products, One Grinding Platform

Two Silos, Two Plaster Options

Process water closets, washbasins and fireclay sinks on one adaptable sanitary ware grinding machine, reducing the need for product-specific equipment.

With two separate silos, two different plaster types can be used efficiently, providing greater flexibility for various production requirements.

Why?

Skilled Control Where Geometry Varies

Two Silos, Two Plaster Options

The operator-guided pantograph arm provides direct control over the grinding path, making the machine well suited to varied fired-product shapes and finishing requirements.

With two separate silos, two different plaster types can be used efficiently, providing greater flexibility for various production requirements.

Why?

Cleaner Grinding at the Contact Point

Two Silos, Two Plaster Options

Integrated wet grinding cools the working area while capturing ceramic dust and particles directly where material is removed.

With two separate silos, two different plaster types can be used efficiently, providing greater flexibility for various production requirements.

Why Choose This Solution?

Easier Setup Across Product Families

Two Silos, Two Plaster Options

An adjustable worktable and product-specific fixing solutions simplify positioning and alignment as production moves between different sanitary ware models.

With two separate silos, two different plaster types can be used efficiently, providing greater flexibility for various production requirements.

Why?

Flexibility Without Full CNC Complexity

Two Silos, Two Plaster Options

The semi-automatic concept combines mechanized product positioning with hands-on grinding control—a practical solution where product mix and operator adaptability matter more than full CNC automation.

With two separate silos, two different plaster types can be used efficiently, providing greater flexibility for various production requirements.

Pantograph-Arm Grinding Architecture

The fixed-height pantograph arm moves freely under operator control while the grinding wheel works parallel to the product table, providing flexible access across the required grinding surface.

Motorized Vertical Worktable

A grinding area of 1400 × 1100 × 850 mm accommodates different fired sanitary ware geometries, including water closets, washbasins and fireclay sinks.

Large Working Envelope

A grinding area of 1400 × 1100 × 850 mm accommodates different fired sanitary ware geometries, including water closets, washbasins and fireclay sinks.

4,500 rpm Grinding Spindle

A Ø150 mm grinding wheel operating at 4,500 rpm provides the mechanical cutting action for controlled surface finishing across the machine's working range.

Through-Spindle Wet Grinding System

Process water is delivered through the central grinding shaft and operates together with the grinding motor, cooling the contact zone and carrying grinding residue into integrated drainage channels.

Protected Wet-Zone Construction

The machine is built around a rigid steel structure, with stainless-steel surfaces in direct water-contact areas and protected coated surfaces elsewhere for industrial wet-grinding conditions.
