ECSB SOR WC HIGH PRESSURE CASTING CELL

The ECSB SOR WC High Pressure Casting Cell is a fully automated sanitary ware casting solution for complex and smart water closets using multi-part resin moulds. Dynamic mould rotation, independent casting control and robotic sticking, demoulding and handling enable demanding WC geometries to be produced with greater process flexibility, repeatability and reduced operator intervention.

ECSB SOR WC HIGH PRESSURE CASTING CELL

At a Glance

Automated high-pressure casting for complex and smart WCs, combining multi-part resin moulds, dynamic casting angles and robotic handling in one flexible cell.

WHY THIS SOLUTION?

Complex Products, Industrialised

Bring intelligent, wall-hung, back-to-wall and floor-standing WC designs into a controlled high-pressure production environment, including demanding multi-part product concepts.

WHY THIS SOLUTION?

Better Greenware from Every Angle

Complex Products, Industrialised

Dynamic mould positioning during casting helps improve slip distribution and reduce filling marks, cracks and other defects associated with complex geometries.

Bring intelligent, wall-hung, back-to-wall and floor-standing WC designs into a controlled high-pressure production environment, including demanding multi-part product concepts.

WHY THIS SOLUTION?

More Productive Mould Time

Complex Products, Industrialised

Short mechanical cycles, fast mould access and machine utilisation of up to 95% help manufacturers extract more productive time from each installed mould.

Bring intelligent, wall-hung, back-to-wall and floor-standing WC designs into a controlled high-pressure production environment, including demanding multi-part product concepts.

WHY THIS SOLUTION?

Less Handling, More Repeatability

Complex Products, Industrialised

Robotic demoulding, sticking, transfer and product placement reduce manual handling of sensitive greenware while creating a more consistent production sequence.

Bring intelligent, wall-hung, back-to-wall and floor-standing WC designs into a controlled high-pressure production environment, including demanding multi-part product concepts.

WHY THIS SOLUTION?

A Mould Strategy Built for the Long Run

Complex Products, Industrialised

Long-life resin mould technology supports repeatable industrial production of complex products while reducing the mould replacement and waste burden associated with traditional plaster moulding. UNIMAK resin moulds are specified for up to 20,000 pressing cycles under defined operating conditions.

Bring intelligent, wall-hung, back-to-wall and floor-standing WC designs into a controlled high-pressure production environment, including demanding multi-part product concepts.

Dynamic Body & Rim Rotation

The body module can rotate through ±180° and the rim module from 0–90°, allowing mould position to be adjusted through filling, thickness formation and draining stages. The architecture also supports top- or bottom-side sticking and demoulding on the foot or rim.

Independent High-Pressure Casting Control

Each casting module can operate with its own slip filling, pressure and timing parameters. Individual mould sections and opening sequences can also be controlled to accommodate different geometries and casting requirements within the same cell.

Proportional Casting with Airbag Clamping

The full-automatic casting process combines proportional slip and air-pressure control with industrial airbag mould clamping. The documented architecture provides 600 kN clamping force and operates at casting pressures up to 12 bar.

Robotic Multi-Tool Demoulding & Sticking

Industrial robots work with application-specific grippers and interchangeable tools for handling Rim, Shell and Engine components, applying joining slip, precise demoulding, positioning, sticking and final product transfer.

Recipe-Based PLC/HMI Process Management

The automation platform manages casting recipes, process sequencing, valve selection and pressure parameters while monitoring cycle times, slip, air and hydraulic conditions. Alarm histories, process graphics, data recording and remote monitoring support systematic production control and troubleshooting.

Modular Multi-Part Resin Mould Platform

ECSB SOR is engineered around complex 4- and 5-part body moulds, separate rim moulds and Rim–Engine–Shell configurations. Independent modules can accommodate different mould requirements, while front and rear mould access supports faster model changeovers and easier intervention.
