ECM WC KIT 1 HIGH PRESSURE CASTING MACHINE / CELL

The ECM WC KIT High Pressure Casting Machine / Cell is a modular sanitary ware solution for 3-, 4- and 5-part open-rim and rimless WC production. Independent casting modules, model-specific mould control and integrated robotic greenware handling create a flexible cell that connects high-pressure casting with controlled demoulding, resting, finishing and downstream transfer

ECM WC KIT 1 HIGH PRESSURE CASTING MACHINE / CELL

At a Glance

Modular high-pressure WC casting cell engineered for complex multi-part bowls, flexible model production and integrated robotic greenware handling.

WHY THIS SOLUTION?

A Wider WC Portfolio from One Cell

Produce open-rim and rimless WC models across 3-, 4- and 5-part mould concepts, giving manufacturers greater freedom to develop their product portfolio without changing the fundamental casting platform.

WHY THIS SOLUTION?

More Production, Less Handling Labour

A Wider WC Portfolio from One Cell

Robot-assisted unloading and downstream transfer reduce the repetitive manual handling between casting, resting, finishing and greenware dispatch, allowing operators to focus on process-critical tasks.

Produce open-rim and rimless WC models across 3-, 4- and 5-part mould concepts, giving manufacturers greater freedom to develop their product portfolio without changing the fundamental casting platform.

WHY THIS SOLUTION?

Make Better Use of the Casting Hall

A Wider WC Portfolio from One Cell

The cell can be engineered around the available factory layout, combining casting, robotic handling, temporary storage and finishing operations into a more compact and efficient production flow.

Produce open-rim and rimless WC models across 3-, 4- and 5-part mould concepts, giving manufacturers greater freedom to develop their product portfolio without changing the fundamental casting platform.

WHY THIS SOLUTION?

Protect Greenware Before It Gains Strength

A Wider WC Portfolio from One Cell

Controlled robotic transfer and dedicated resting stations minimise unnecessary lifting, turning and repeated handling of freshly demoulded WC bodies during their most sensitive production stage.

Produce open-rim and rimless WC models across 3-, 4- and 5-part mould concepts, giving manufacturers greater freedom to develop their product portfolio without changing the fundamental casting platform.

WHY THIS SOLUTION?

Change the Product Plan, Not the Entire Line

A Wider WC Portfolio from One Cell

Compatibility with different WC configurations, alternative mould concepts and independently arranged modules gives manufacturers greater freedom to respond to future model changes and production strategies.

Produce open-rim and rimless WC models across 3-, 4- and 5-part mould concepts, giving manufacturers greater freedom to develop their product portfolio without changing the fundamental casting platform.

Independent WC Kit Module Architecture

Each WC KIT operates as an individually configurable high-pressure casting module within a common cell automation system. The architecture supports 3-, 4- and 5-part open-rim and rimless WC moulds, while different models can be assigned to individual modules.

Individually Controlled Mould Kinematics

Lateral, upper and lower mould sections are controlled according to the requirements of the installed model rather than relying on one fixed closing sequence. A dedicated fifth-part movement architecture was also redesigned and validated during development to improve parallel movement and eliminate previously observed play and deflection.

Active-Frame Airbag Mould Clamping

The resin mould is supported by a dedicated active-frame structure, while industrial airbags provide clamping across the required mould sections. The developed pressure protection system prevents excessive airbag expansion, reducing unnecessary load on mould connection components.

Recipe-Based Casting and Utility Control

PLC-based automation manages casting sequences together with slip, air, water and vacuum functions. Dedicated HMI pages provide kit, process, valve and recipe control, allowing process settings to be configured around the requirements of each product.

Integrated Robotic Greenware Handling

The robotic cell combines product-specific demoulding tooling with automatic tool changing, resting racks and shuttle stations. Developed handling solutions cover unloading, temporary storage, product repositioning and transfer toward finishing and greenware trolley operations.

Independently Controlled Rim Casting Module

An optional dedicated rim module extends the cell for complex WC concepts requiring separately cast rim components. The module has its own high-pressure casting automation and a controlled tilting mechanism that can position the mould between 0° and 90° according to the casting process.
